Statter Harbor

After work this afternoon I met my Mountain Boy at Henrys Restaurant in the Valley.
It is a simple unpretentious restaurant with simple unpretentious food.
I waited there a few days ago for over an hour while LC finished up with his doctors appointment, and the waiter continued to ply with me with caffeine, without complaint, until LC eventually made it to the restaurant.
We went back today - $20 for two burgers, two orders of fries, a soup and a salad and 2 coffees.  Good food and cheap by Juneau standards.
After eating we went to Statter Harbor in Auke Bay, and I took many pictures.
This is the most beautiful of all the beautiful boat harbors in town.
The cove is gorgeous.
Some of the boats are gorgeous and some of the boats are simple and obviously hard-working boats.
The mountains across from the cove are gorgeous.
And the mountains close to Mendenhall Glacier are now covered in a light dusting of snow.
There are new mountains every day that are becoming covered in light snow.
Again, the child in this woman is very excited to see it.
We stayed at the harbor for a long time, wandering slowly along each of the piers.
The pictures start with lots of light, and then gradually become more and more blue as daylight continued to fade during our walk.
I love these pictures because I love this place...............
