After wandering the museum for a few hours we were both getting tired.
And suffering from information overload.
There was so much to see at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West that both LC and I were beginning to get a little overwhelmed.
There was so much - so many displays, so much to see and read, so many videos to watch, and even after the few hours that we had spent roaming this outstanding place, we had still barely even scratched the surface.
After taking a break in the cafeteria (and eating free Christmas cookies and drinking hot chocolate), we took our time wandering towards the front doors of the building.
In a few hours we would be meeting our friend Barb out at Old Trail Town.
We needed some rest, and (although it had been warm throughout this day) we knew that we would need to bundle up against the cold of the evening.
On the spur of the moment we turned to the right just before the front doors and headed into one last exhibit, that was dedicated to the life and times of the citys' founder, Buffalo Bill Cody.
At the entrance to the Cody Exhibit we ran into this.
The smoke and moving graphics had immediately caught my attention and I realized that this was as close to a hologram as I had ever seen.
The "Old Man In The Smoke" was relating the history of Cody.
A mesmerizing sight...................
Pictures of Bill Cody.....................
The Cody children.................
Posters and billboards showcasing his Wild West Show..............

It had been a GREAT visit.
Anyone who finds their way to Cody WY should take the time to stop and visit this extraordinary series of museums.
LC and I walked out of the building tired, hungry, and excited about everything we had seen over the past few hours, and we resolved to purchase an annual membership.
We wanted to come back.
Time and time again.
A quick nap, a quick sandwich, some warmer clothes, and we were all set to meet up with our local friend and take in the Christmas lights at Old Trail Town...............
